A lovely looking vintage folding travel chess set. It is made of wood and is highly decorated with attractive parquetry style inserts everywhere about the box in different colours. Within is storage for the black and white plastic peg chess pieces. This area is covered with red baize or felt like material. There is also an area at the ends of the opened board to place your taken pieces which is a nice touch. The board measures about 24 cm long and 14 cm wide when opened out for play and 14 cm x 12 cm when closed. This set is complete with all the chess pieces and is in very good condition all round. There is only one corner scuff of any note (see last photo).
