All 32 pieces have felt bottoms. It is 3" tall open and 6" tall closed. Chess pieces are solid one-piece wood. Natural colored pieces show unique wood grain to each. Both have been retouched. The large 30" by 30" board is in good condition with very minor signs of wear and discoloration from storage.
