Greek Spartan Hoplites chess set, the board is made of marble with alternating blue and grey squares. The board is approximately 11.5 x 11.5” (30 x 30cm). The pieces feature either a brass colouring or a faded oxidised blue-grey colouring. The set was bought in Greece many years go but was never used and kept in the attic, however the box was damaged when moving house.
