This truly beautiful set is worthy of display and play rather than unused as is is now. The pawns of each side display either an English rose or Scottish thistle. The castles are of Norman English tower or Scottish tower house. We then have Sir William Wallace opposing Sir Thomas a Becket and John Knox opposing Sir Francis Drake. Mary Queen of Scot’s plays against Queen Elizabeth I and the Kings are represented by Robert the Bruce and Henry VIII. Each intricatly representative piece has a felt base for ease of movement across the board. I’ve reduced the price on this so that the £150 covers the buyer protection fee and I’ll also pay for postage so it doesn’t feel like buying an airline seat the adding in all the extras. Many thanks for looking ????
