1950 Dubrovnik Bobby Fischer Reproduced Chess Set vesion 3.0: Commissioned for the IX. Chess Olympiad in Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia, the Serbian sculptor Petar Poček crafted an exquisite set of chess pieces in 1950, featuring smooth curves, distinctive capped bishops, and elegantly unique knights unlike the conventional Staunton Elgin marbles style. These chess pieces was constructed from maple and chestnut in their natural hues which exhibited an unconventional width at the base, while adhering to the tradition of great Staunton/Jaques of London designs. Notably, the requirement for no religious symbols was strictly upheld, and a discreet metal badge within the box bore the inscription "IX. šah olimpijada 1950 Dubrovnik Jugoslavija."in the 1960s, Croat cartoonist Andrija Maurović redesigned th.
